We love nuts! Whether hazelnuts, cashews, almonds, or walnuts, whole, halved, or chopped. We eat them all! Here in the office, so many storage jars are filled with our favorite nuts that we wanted to try something new with them. So we made super healthy, really simple, and very delicious nut spread!
Everything you need for this:
• Your favorite nuts (about 2 cups)
• A high-performance blender
• An ovenproof casserole dish

And this is how it's done:
First, spread the nuts on a baking sheet and roast them in the oven for about 20 minutes at 180°C top/bottom heat (they can turn golden brown and smell pleasant, but should not look burnt). Then let them cool enough so you can touch them with your hands again. Now puree the nuts in your blender until a creamy spread forms.

A little tip: It takes a while for your spread to become pleasantly creamy. It's best to push the nuts down from the sides with a spoon now and then so your blender can get a good grip on them. Also, feel free to give your blender a break now and then so it doesn't get too hot :)
Nut spread works with almost all nuts. We grabbed our three favorites and made a cashew spread, an almond spread, and a hazelnut spread.

And that's it! It's really that easy to make this delicious spread! My absolute favorite is hazelnut spread. A warm roll with the spread and a fresh coffee - an absolute breakfast dream! By the way, dates filled with almond spread taste especially delicious.
